AnimaPulse

Reminders that never forget

Vaccines, wormers, spot-ons, appointments — AnimaPulse tells you at the right moment, and reschedules the next one as soon as you mark the last as done.

Why we forget

A vaccine booster comes round once a year. A spot-on, every month. A wormer, every three months for an adult. These rhythms have nothing in common, they never fall on the same day, and none of them is frequent enough to become a habit.

This is exactly the sort of thing an app should carry for you.

What AnimaPulse reminds you of, and when

Due itemWhen you are told
Vaccine7 days before, then the day before, at 9 am
Recurring treatmenton the day
Appointmentthe day before, then 2 hours ahead

Reminders are local notifications: they come from your phone, without going through a server. They work offline, and nobody knows what time you are reminded about your cat's spot-on.

The loop that changes everything: "done"

The notification takes you to the Reminders screen. Every line has a Done button. One tap, and three things happen:

  1. the dose is recorded at the real date — not the planned one;
  2. the next due date is rescheduled from that date;
  3. the matching notification is reprogrammed on its own.

This is the detail that matters over time. Give the spot-on three days late and the next one falls three days later — not at the end of a theoretical month nobody is following any more.

For treatments tied to a cost (insurance, say), the amount goes straight to the health budget.

Free, and unlimited

Reminders are not behind the subscription, and they will not be. It is the number one complaint about apps in this field: discovering, three months in, that the feature you installed the app for has become paid. Here the full record and its reminders are free for one pet, with no cap on how many.

What it takes to work

One thing: allowing notifications. AnimaPulse does not ask on first launch, when the question means nothing, but on the day you actually have something to track — and explains why before asking.

The due dates suggested follow the usual protocols. They are indicative: your vet always has the final say on your pet's schedule.
